"I'm set," Mr. Donelson said with a deep breath. He watched as the needle pierced the fleshy webbing between his thumb and forefinger and a microchip was slid under his skin. At last he would be able to do what he had long imagined: enhance his body's powers through technology.

By inserting the chip, a radio frequency identification device, Mr. Donelson would literally have at his fingertips the same magic that makes security gates swing open with a swipe of a card, and bridge and tunnel traffic flow smoothly with an E-ZPass. With a wave of his hand he planned to log on to his computer, open doors and unlock his car.

Ohmygawd, you can open a door!

Feel the power of the body tagged like livestock by the benevolent corporations at the behest of the government that's going to get access to the databases with your personal info and eventually track your every movements like they do with the cars in Britain!

Feel the power of random people being able to scan your personal info and duplicate your chip or chop your fingers to enter your house and your car! :thumbdwn:

I think this is becoming a trend. If corperations pick this up, people will insert this, because they will be able to pay the bus, their McNuggets, etc.

I'm glad some sane people people thought of this.

It would be funny if pranksters use something like this to zap all the chips in the room, so that everone gets an electric shock...

I don't think they'll get an electric shock, but rather a red dot under their thumb. Which is even cooler!

After the RFID nerds party they go home to notice that their doors won't open at all

Just wait until someone cuts his thumb off to steal his car.

The domain name expired. I'm trying to find a way to contact Stryker, as the domain is still under his name. Ecsyle told me to ask Raptor, but I haven't got around to it yet.
