What do you think about ubuntu?
H_TeXMeX_H:
The problem with Ubuntu is that most of the commands are different from other distros sudo instead of su ... and others ... other than that it's pretty good.
Orethrius:
sudo is not a command, sudo is a secure root-access library. su is the command used by users in group:wheel to access root functions. Both can coexist, and do on either of my primary systems.
Aloone_Jonez:
It runs well although installing software on it blows but that's just my experiance with Linux in general.
noob:
How, can it blow? "dpkg -i " will install a deb package. Alien will install RPM;s and others i think and apt-get install apache2, php4, php4-mysql lib-apache2-mysql mysql-server mysql vsftpd dovecot sendmail will install the packages needed for a simple server. It's the easyest distro to install stuff on.
Pathos:
They are the best bet on making linux mainstream.
But I bet $100 that the first linux virus will be spread by ubuntu users.
