So, there's only one hard drive size for the iBook?  News to me.

How many different mac laptops could there be for 1000-1500? Your choices range from refurbished or new. Jesus there are only three lines of Mac laptop and you're going to get a 1.67 or less for that price, period. The question is do you want what apple calls "widescreen" or 4:3?

Hi ... From what I can tell from use's , It would seem I would have to save a little more cash , Because I do want it to be new , Screen size ( 14" to 15" ) Is fine with me , I like the looks that hm_murdock posted , Again its basiclly going to be used mainly for surfing the web , no games or work stuff being done on it , So the size of the Hdd isn't going to matter much , Though I would like to have at least 512mb memory , Something pretty quick loading webpages and A better OS then Microcrap

BTW >> Thanks for all the advise

Xeniczone:
if you really want one you better hurry there is one in apple referbished section 12in 700 dollar great deal.

IBM only sells workstations now, where you may get z/OS, Windows, or Red Hat. ThinkPads are owned by Lenovo now, though you can still customize their Memory, Disk Space, etc. but, unfortunately, Lenovo only preinstalls Windows last time I checked:thumbdwn:. And I did mean "Notebook".  To me a Laptop and a Notebook are synonyms.

The "multimedia" thinkpads with widescreen go for around $799. But I do have to admit that iBooks are excellent too...
