I gotta old AXP 1700, it was running good till about 2 weeks ago, and then it just stopped dead. No post. No beep codes. No nothing. I tried different CPUs and video cards, do you have any idea what could be wrong?

Switch the PSU's. If that doesn't work, short the MB power pins with a flathead screwdriver for about one second.

Hmmmm ... I'm not too good with hardware but I know that if the MB is fucked up it beeps ... if you don't hear a beep it's probably not the MB. It might be the power supply ... how exactly does it power up ... did you test voltages ?

Like I stated, I tried two differnt PSUs. It powers up, HDs spin up etc... But just tapping to power button wont shut it down, i have to hold it for 5 sec like it was frozen. I tried the HD in another machine and FC4 booted right up

MOBO is dead. BIOS failure by th sounds of it. It's the BIOPS that makes the beeps so if the BIOS is currupted, no beeps
