"Make Me Switch"
« on: 29 April 2006, 13:49 »
At first I thought this guy was crazy, but it turns out he managed to raise over $1000 US already.
He sent out a plea for loads of plp to donate at least $1US towards a new intel iMac.

Suggestion to the guy:

... install Linux on that "little over half a decade old" laptop and shut your face ... oh and fix your website, it's rather buggy.

That guy needs to earn his own damn money. The internet shouldn't be a charity case for guys like him.
Operating System Advocacy. I've given up on the Microsuck project, as well as any of the minisite spinoffs. You can still view the new beta site, though!

Yeah, I posted it from my friend's website.  I wonder who copied who.

BTW, this reminds me...the guy from http://www.helpmegetag5.com completed his quest, and videotaped himself BLOWING UP his G4.  Check out the video!

If he blew up the G5 instead he'd be a legend in my books.

a poem by my computer, Macintosh Vigilante
Macintosh amends a damned around the requested typewriter. Macintosh urges a scarce design. Macintosh postulates an autobiography. Macintosh tolls the solo variant. Why does a winter audience delay macintosh? The maker tosses macintosh. Beneath female suffers a double scum. How will a rat cube the heavier cricket? Macintosh calls a method. Can macintosh nest opposite the headache? Macintosh ties the wrong fairy. When can macintosh stem the land gang? Female aborts underneath macintosh. Inside macintosh waffles female. Next to macintosh worries a well.

That's not nice ... why doesn't he blow up something that is worth blowing up ... like a Compaq

I don't particularly like Macs, but they are very powerful ... if I had one I wouldn't blow it up ... a Compaq on the other hand, hell yeah I'm gonna blow it up.

Tex, if everyone cared that much about hardware, we wouldn't have films like this (the original Halicki film, not that Nick Cage piece-of-crap remake).  93 cars in 97 minutes - at a 1974 budget of $1M even.  :D
