Microsoft just seem to buy and buy more and more firms.
Im confused though, because the competition commission says they cant own more than 25% of the market, but they own so much I would say they own MUCH MUCH MORE than that.
btw im still a newbie, so hi guys

Hi. Well you have to realize that Microsoft is a monopoly, that's why the EU is giving them so many fines. The U.S. gov. doesn't seem to care as much about the monopolistic status of M$ ... the reasons for which are numerous.

Am I correct in saying that the EU have no power regarding their monopolistic within the US?
H_TeXMeX_H:
Yeah ... pretty much ... the EU only has control over European countries and can only impose fines as long as they deal with M$ in Europe. I know the US Supreme court once did pass some rather meek legislation against the M$ monopoly ... I don't think the effect was noticible.

Yeah, either a pre-set amount per product owned, or "complimentary" copies of their shitware (until the next activation cycle). I stopped holding my breath for the rebate checks after the first year. Worse, if you stepped on board for that "award" cycle, you "cannot claim the same misbehaviour again in the future" so I'm essentially ass-out despite their felonious cocksucking antics performed on a daily basis. Well, if I can't use the law to take them down... ;)
