Ok, so I've been strolling through a million linux forums and articles. The number of people who have suddenly started using Ubuntu seems to have grown massively, so I thought to myself, why not check it out. I looked for a live CD/DVD...no real luck. All the ones I foundwere 3rd party made ones...dunno if I wanna try that. So, I go back to Ubuntu's website and register (how easy was that!), and request a copy of Ubuntu 6.06 5 CD set (I couldn't find the DVD version request...or a Live DVD request. If they are willing to send me the whole thing for free...yes that's right, free! Absolutely no expense to me. I am so happy with the way that went. It took mear seconds to register and in under a minute, my request for the set was in and I am now just waiting for them to be posted to me.

I am very pleased with that...

Just wanted to express that, had to share...GROUP HUG!!!!

Yea it's pretty cool that they do that, however, it can take over 2 months for those CDs to arrive - it depends on when the next shipment is.
If you want them quick you should download the ISO if you have broadband or find someone who already has them to copy them for you or find someone to download and burn the ISO for you..

I have broadband. Since I am tradtionally a SuSE user, I downloaded the 10.1 ISO...man am I pissed. I have 256 mb ram, it requires 512mb...wtf. I will be searching for a new option!
