a poem by my computer, Macintosh Vigilante
Macintosh amends a damned around the requested typewriter. Macintosh urges a scarce design. Macintosh postulates an autobiography. Macintosh tolls the solo variant. Why does a winter audience delay macintosh? The maker tosses macintosh. Beneath female suffers a double scum. How will a rat cube the heavier cricket? Macintosh calls a method. Can macintosh nest opposite the headache? Macintosh ties the wrong fairy. When can macintosh stem the land gang? Female aborts underneath macintosh. Inside macintosh waffles female. Next to macintosh worries a well.

Happy July 4th to my American neighbours!

We might as well celebrate the independence of both our countries... because it might not last.

That, mixed in with all the other stuff, makes me celebrate this year with a slightly nauseating feeling.

Crazy.  What's even crazier is that this was predicted by a fiction novel from 1997, "Infinite Jest" (one of the best books EVER).  The video did use an interesting new euphemism - the "investment class".  I'm adding that one to my daily vocabulary!

FYI, my county set a new record for greatest rainfall in a 24 hour period that day.  However, the rain and clouds broke for a couple hours, and the fireworks show at the George Bush presidential library  went off without incident.

Speaking of predictions, not too long ago the idea of a one world government agenda was considered tin-foil hat. There are so many bizarre things becoming reality that I'm starting to wonder whether the New World Order business shouldn't be taken more seriously.

At any rate,  I'm going to have to face a tough decision: fight for Canadian independence, or side with Quebec and vote to bail out.

"Deutschland, Uber Alles..."
dammit, that's not the right one!
"Blame Canada..."
nope, that's not it either.

"The eyes of Texas are upon you
all the livelong day.
The eyes of Texas are upon you
you cannot get away.
Can't you hear the whistle blowing
bright so early in the morn?
Can't you hear the captain shouting:
'Dinah won't you blow your horn?'"

There, that's the national anthem!  I mean, Texas anthem.
