Correct.

Quote from: Calum
all i said was that the hidden files were in windows 98 and ME exactly where i couldn't see them with hidden files turned off, just like the article says, way back when the article was new.

ME is understanderble as you can't boot to DOS without hacking it, but I didn't see the fuss about Windows 98, even at the time of writing as you could always boot to DOS and deleted/veiwed the files.

so what if it was written by a slightly foaming at the mouth fanatic? those were different days. some of you were still in primary school no doubt!

Now that is my problem with it, he hadn't taken the time to research and get his facts straight before posting it, he just went on the blood thirsty attack. I could've easilly solved this myth given an NT based version of Windows and a live Linux CD.

and to be honest i think you need to write to the webmaster of this site if you want to have influence over the site content,

I could but there again I can't see him responding, is there another email address I can try?

not just bad mouth me because i happen to respond to your post in a way you don't like.

Sorry, perhaps is was a bit of a misunderstanding on my part, at the time I was of the oppinion that you still believed the conspiracy theory, but on seeing this post I've changed my mind.

The correct commands are:

echo y>yes.txt
format c:
But that only works in Windows 98 or ME, to fromat Windows XP you need to run setup from the CD or a format program from a live Linux CD.
