I finally just stopped using Windows altogether. I haven't turned on my peecee in EIGHT MONTHS... and the mobo battery died. Now it won't boot. HAHA.

Windows sux. I remember having to do shit like update it with Windows Update, reboot to a blue screen. Reinstall.

Fuck that shit.

I remember AOL replacing AIM with that new version of theirs.

Fuck that shit.

I remember the last year of Windows... 2005. I just couldn't take it anymore. A 300MHz Power Mac G3 was way better than my cushy Windoze box, so fuck it. I didn't want to look at the bullshit anymore, so I just totally jumped ship. Forever. Who needs Bill's shitty OS? If I need to run Office, I still can. I DON'T, THOUGH. I don't need to run stupid Windows games. I don't need to run bullshit. Anything I need done that requires Windows, well, I can get one of my Windows using sucker friends to do.

Windows chaps my ass.

Start buttons. My Computer. Genuine Advantage. Eat my pubes, Windows.

piratePenguin:
Get OS X onto that box.

wait....

Seriously, get Ubuntu onto that box. And ditch the Mac :p

H_TeXMeX_H:
As long as it's not Window$ running anything else should do just fine ... I don't personally like Macs, but they're not bad ... if you like em use em.

WMD:
This all sounds odd, Jimmy.  There was a time when you considered Windows to be not bad at all, and you were bashing OS X as slow and buggy.  What's more, you liked Linux and used it much of the time, on your PC.  Why would you all of a sudden not have your PC on for eight months?

hm_murdock:
The time I complained of slow and buggy OS X was 10.2. It's reached the point that I no longer think that it's "not good enough" for me to use all the time. As for why my opinion of Windows changed... after years of using consumer-level Apple hardware, I got a Power Mac again :p

Ya know, dual 500MHz G4 and a Radeon 8500 really do make for a better experience than a G3 with Rage 128.

And Linux? I'm still messing with it. I'm playing with Ubuntu right now. Well, not this exact moment...
