I though WOW was somewhat workable in Linux now...
It is, but it takes either Cedega with that proprietary ClickToPlay program (though as far as I know, it's $15 once unless he wants packages after the first three months) or a fully functional WineX install. Good luck making DirectX work with that. Also, is she aware of GNUcash or perhaps any of the financial software available
here? There's another one called Grinner or Gronik or something like that, but I can't recall the name off the top of my head. It's decent if you can track it down though.
Oh well. At least she's starting off, that's how I went into it. I found a handfull of forums like these, read a bit, tried a live cd, d/l suse 9.0, then bought suse 9.1 and been going around distros ever since. She's on the road and that's what counts...
