Let's make a list of why Windows sucks

<< < (11/26) > >>

Calum:
sometimes i think you can buy sacks of dumbness for ten cents each in washington.

yahurd:
-is as insecure as the anti-openbsd, hell it IS the anti-openbsd
-must dual boot between browsers if you want to test a page in more than one ie
-interface could have been designed by the gnome team
-microsofts own hit language isnt supported by default
-the microsoft sales guys can not do without buzzwords "mike, ubuntu does not come close to the general, ie global usability of windows xp"
like hell posix, THE internet, doesnt
-its interface was painted by a two year old

_LiquidOxygen:
Gotta agree with the two-year-old and gnome bits.

Only reason for this: they take their users for idiots. Seems they believe that if it doesn't look fancy enough, people won't buy it. People will buy it alright regardless of the appearance - as long as they BELIEVE it works properly - which it doesn't.

Kinda reminds of the bit from the Simpsons that goes like this:

Homer: Mmm, chocolate (he gets a box of neopolitan out of the freezer and opens it to find all the chocolate ice-cream gone) - D'OH! Mmm, chocolate (he gets another box out - there's no chocolate in that either) - D'OH! Marge! We need some more vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream!

Marge: I'll get some at the store tomorrow, Homer.

Homer: Mmm, chocolate. (he puts the boxes back in the freezer)

I thought gnome was designed from windows, but it could be the other way around :P

Aloone_Jonez:
It probably was the other way round.

Seriously though, haven't KDE and Gnome both borrowed ideas from both Mac OS, Windows and what about CDE?
