wine doesn't work too well with out configureing it till your eyes bled, winex however works just great on the other hand

Why not just get the Linux Server edition from valve? CS has one, Methinks the normal Linux DS for HL has TFC support too.

If there are things that are only supported in the Windoez ds version like script... Then that sucks and you should complain to the makers of it!
