Oh just thought I should mention...running XP on a 386 is like running KDE on the same thing.  :D   Heck, KDE doesn't run that well on Pentium.  :eek:

Yes, but I think that some of the other CPU's (Cyrix, Transmeta, maybe even Athlon) would not work with the i686 instruction set ... I think the pentium instruction set is ok for most modern CPU's though.
