Yes, gaim and trillian. When I can build and run gaim on the Mac, then I will be the bomb.

Um, can't you? I'm pretty sure you can....

Oh, it can be done, but getting all the gtk dependencies is a pain in the ass. Some of the files in fontconfig have to be rewritten by hand to work on Darwin. Forget about fink, because that's like 5 releases behind current. And, oddly, fink doesn't even have all the current uptodate packages to support the version of gaim they do have, so that makes no sense.
Anyway, my iBook is almost as Linux-hot as my Fedora2 box at work.

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to stick with Adium... ...which uses libgaim...

Speaking of "old but funny," anybody ever use Riven Movie Snoop (sorry PC fans, Mac only, unless you can get this to run properly) to check out movie #148 on disc 4 of Riven? THAT, my friend, is TRULY funny. :D

a really good multi protocol im clicent for win 9x and newer is miranda. very light weight (fits on a floppy). open source, customizable (not quite as much as trillian though)
fast. very fast.
