OK, I need to reinstall Windows XP, but I lost my case (which had the CD-Key).  How can I disable the CD-Key requirement for Windows XP Home ?  Thanks !

okay, there are some good cracks for this here, here and here!

really though, i am suspicious of anybody who says they need to reinstall windows P, what's wrong with you? think about a world where it is necessary for somebody to install a crappy proprietary operating system, do you want to live in a world that would allow one company that much power?

anybody who owns three copies of linux that he doesn't even run, and who wants to install windows XP instead is probably past help.

I have been wrong in the past though, prove me wrong, alex.

ahhh, the only valid excuse for him now is games that don't run correctly under wine/winex or fast enough. more then once have i wanted to put win98 on this machine to play diablo II, cuase the winex version is kinda slow and my other mac has not enough real memory to play the game and no networking support. but i realised that it would be a bitch, windows would want drivers for my ultra66 card that it's never gonna use and other annoyances. so im waiting to build an amd machine of considerable power.

Hey alex,

i asked (almost) exact the same question about a week ago on behalf of a friend of mine.

i remembered (i thought it was chaosforages ??) someone saying:

Why giving people shackles and chains to bind themselves to the M$ monopoly??

My experience here was that most folk (like Calum)
would like to help you getting things fixed in windoze (like the dude who was searching for porn   :D  ) but refuse to help you install it.

I can understand why people don't want to help you
install windoze. Because most of the people here (like me) started with windoze, and ended up with an (extreme) hate vs. M$ and a passion for other types of OS's, such as linux. Just ask around.

So check:

Crack or fix dear friend ??
I got stuck with a funny Linux's (Caldera) idea of excluding M$ stuff.. I installed it and I ended up with ONLY Linux in the LILO, which I enjoyed alot. I did edit the conf and made the Win accessible, but I tricked a few of my Ardent Win Fans with the same and many of them finally ended up if migrating entirely to linux.. I am proud to say that two of them Deleted the Win partition and now running on a Linux only idea!!
root/passwd is the world's best husband and wife.. All that follow the Windows instead of Doors  will ultimately Divorce.

"Virtual Memory Problem" - I have that kind of problem. The amount of RAM programs use on my computer multiplies exponentially until it uses up every availible resource on my computer. Thank God I set a limit on Vmem! Especially bad with McAfee Virusscan Online.

By the way, I am a Mac & Linux User (Whenever possible, about 95% of the time). Remember this: Mac OS X + Yellow Dog Linux = Bliss!

And...I don't know any product key cracks. I know cracks for the product # and activation, but that's it.
