What's wrong with Michelle Obama?

The Candlejack thing was funny after I looked it up on Urban Dictionary.

Michelle hates America.

worker201:
She doesn't hate America, she's been largely indifferent to America.  As it has been largely indifferent to her.  I'm actually glad that Michelle is not one of those "I love America, and the reason I love America is because I love America" thugs - John McCain being a prime example.  Typical redneck nationalism is useless - it's like telling a girl you love her on the first date - if that's all it takes, it ain't worth all that much.  Michelle's POV is that the real and valuable nationalism is the kind that comes around when something special happens that makes you truly believe the words.  (It's kinda like tipping, really - rednecks are like people who tip 10% all the time, no matter how the service was, and Michelle is the kind that doesn't tip unless the waiter really goes the extra mile, and then she tips 25%.)  For her, a black man being taken seriously for president is one of those moments when true and valuable patriotism is called for, and it's hard to pretend that isn't a pretty significant thing.

Kintaro:
I'd say if you only love a country when it's people give your husband a chance to rule over other people your love is not wanted.

Personally I'd much rather Obama over McCain but they're both just empty suits to me really.

Also, why does this concern me? Because this election will effect my life a lot even over here. I know no matter who things little will probably change though, which for me is a load of my shoulders. The benefits of America's decadent ways are to be felt over here. The fact is even if Obama is a marxist like a lot of people say (and he was involved in a couple of marxist organizations) I know if he does rape America for the businessmen, then either Europe, Singapore, Japan, etc will fill the gap.

Because Obama is surely not stupid enough to not realize that fucking things too far is futile because America would loose most its prosperity quickly without all that international trade being ran in its borders I don't see much to worry about. Same with McCain, actually, a republican is often worse and usually means: tarrifs, etc. Though with Biden's union friends I don't see tarrif cuts happening in any significant way no matter who wins.

Thanks to pigdog Capitalism and the fact America has to compete with many other countries and rising powers, everything should be just swell for me.
