China forces "porn censorship" malware on every new computer.
(1/1)
Aloone_Jonez:
It's spyware and warez.
It only works with Windows.
Not surprisingly it blocks more politically sensitive content than porn.
It's buggy as hell and recognises porn by looking got flesh tones meaning a picture of pigs gets censored.
Uninstalling it only disables the GUI, it still carries on running in the background.
Even a child can easily crack it, the master password is stored in a text file disguised as a dll.
Fuck read the Wikipedia article. :D

Refalm:
"Youth Escort" already sounds suspicious.
If Green Dam is mandatory on every new Chinese computer, and it only works on Windows, what does that do for Red Flag Linux?
I can't imagine it's already got filtering software installed.
It's also funny that you can pretty much encrypt anything, so monitoring encrypted chat that contain the words "tibet", "tiananmen square massacre", "falun gong kicks ass", etc. is quite impossible.
The internet has grown out of the Chinese governments hands, out of their control. I'm expecting that they will give ordinary citizens a country-only network (like Cuba), and provide only certain internet services like VoIP for companies that rely on foreign trade.
Aloone_Jonez:
Encryption won't work.
It contains some sort of key logging feature that crashes the program you're using if you type bad words in.
