This thing Microsoft calls a screen magnifier
« on: 26 April 2010, 19:26 »
Yes, basically,IT SUCKS, not only is everything pixalated beyond hell, it won't do full screen, and the full screen one that they have in Vista, won't let you click, useless. Windows 7's one is just, annoying. Oh and if you want a GOOD magnifier for windows, look for spending £835. Right, I want a Mac.

Of course when you zoom in, everything looks like pixels :D
I prefer that to blurring everything.

Yeah, I totally agree. The magnifier bar was pretty stupid.
Windows 7's one is just, annoying.
Actually, the Windows 7 magnifier is a direct copy of the Mac OS magnifier. And I must say, it's a pretty good one. I could even zoom in on a HD movie, which was pretty cool considering I was able to count the acne on Brat Pitt's face.

£835? :o Send me some URL's of this £835 magnifier software :P

It's pixellated? You sir think you can have your cake and eat it too. Sure, the good folks in Redmond can make it lie to you, but to Microsoft, a computer is a computer - not a motherfucking Star-Trek prop.

£835 last time I checked
And I'm registered partially sighted/blind
(Basically a visual acuity of 6/60 (or 20/200))
Isn't Oculocutaneous Albinism nice and confusing?

Eh, it doesn't work as well as the Mac OS one in my opinion (and well, I use magnifiers quite often, especially late at night when I cba to see properly), and well, the Windows 7 one is definitely a large improvement, but the Mac OS one is still better in my honest opinion.

Just a casual off-topic business related question: why would I want to get my website designed by a blind guy?

Because I am totally awesome :P
More simply, because I am an annoying perfectionist and screen magnifiers let me correct everything down to the last pixel. Also everything is forced to meet w3 standards etc etc.
Basically compare this site: albinism.org.uk (done also by an albino) and my one (www.yourlife.uk.to), then choose which one looks better  :P Also I have next to unlimited time to work on it, and the price is totally fucking cheap and I say, customer first.

If you managed to follow my endless rambling, congratulations, have a cookie, if you give me £100 so I can go buy a Mac :P

Oh god that site has frames. I made a site to organize sociopaths once but we got classified a terrorist organization and shut down.
