Open source nickel iron battery ideas

The ideas have been published under GPL 3 to prevent what happened with lithium iron phosphate batteries. The electric car and hybrids have been seriously hindered by patents on batteries.

The idea to collect electrolysis gases from overcharging looks like a great idea. Electricity for home/business and gas for heating/cooking/transportation.

While it is neat having an "open" battery technology, the problem is Nick-Iron isn't very good. Lithium-Ion batteries have almost 10x the energy per given size, which is very important in vehicles.
