If you use Linux, and you're in the US, SCO is after you. I don't think it will work. What will happen is they will have a bunch of comapanies after them, and 1000 angry people after them.

And here are 10 things SCO can do with it's bill.

ho hum.

SCO got a slapdown yesterday from Munich who fined them 10,000 euros for claiming there was stolen code in linux. Munich is of the opinion that SCO shouldn't be making those claims unless they have legal proof.

why won't that happen in the US?

Because the legal system in Germany works, the US just plays at being legal, like most things they do. Sorry to all my American friends on this board, that's not directly aimed at you. A broad sweeping statement, I know.

In Germany if you make a claim against someone you have to substantiate that claim to the court by a certain date, or the court can fine you. This is outside of the discovery stage.

Obviously $CO can't substantiate anything, hence a fine.

What does this tell you about $CO claims. On-top of all of t his they still have the gall to start issuing "Licenses". These people are greedy, megalomaniac, scum. By helping themselves there damaging a whole industry, potentially.

Calum:
however they have removed all the stolen code allegations from sco.de website...
