How can I cut XP size?
Refalm:
quote:NikS: How can I cut XP size from 1.3 Gb?

Click on "My Computer" from the Start menu and go to your C:\ disk.
Now start randomly deleting directories. If it says that it can't remove a certain directory, then go on to the next one. Be sure to delete subdirectories, dll's and large files too!
NikS:
Thanks for the advice, but what is "My Computer"?
And I think format C:\ would be better then.
Yeah, I guess it was a stupid topic. So let everyone point a finger at me and say "what a moron".
Calum:
i wouldn't say you were a moron!
refalm's solution is actually the only real way to pare down the size of windows xp (sad but true), and i don't think you are a moron at all, especially since your second or third post was saying you were thinking about ditching windows.... usually people don't ditch windows unless they are capable of reasonable and rational though.

Well... one small thing you can do is uninstall uneeded components. Go to Start>control panel>add/remove programs>add/remove windows components, and uninstall what you don't need, but that's olny about 70 mb.
Other then that, if your hard drive is running out of room, ask yourself if you need a larger one for multimedia collections or programs. Or if you just need a CD burner for those few office documents that may be over the top.

actually you could happily remove about 1.2 gigabytes that you don't need and replace it with a decent operating system instead, as mentioned above.
