Not really. The Windows XP firewall is non-configurable, and is - due to the lack of updating on Microsoft's side - one of the worst security products ever.

If you want a real firewall, I suggest using Linux (which built-in firewall is top quality).

I so totally agree with you there. My friend put that xp stuff on this morning. I still think Linux is the best...

Even though Linux is the best, SP 2 is a welcome improvement to XP.

aye. SP 2 includes a completely new firewall. greatly improved with much more functionality and configurability
