How to find out admin pw for Win2k?
Synergiii:
In my networking class, im forced to use crooked, restricted Win2k comps with limited access.. I'd like to find out the Administrator PW for the computer, how would I be able to do this?
Stryker:
You are on the wrong board. And you can't get it. It's in a 1 way encryption algorithm. You can't get it unless you know it. Unless of course you happen to see it on a paper lying on a desk or something.

voidmain:
Oh there are plenty of ways to become Administrator even without knowing the Administrator password if you can log in as a normal user. But Stryker is right, you are on the wrong site for this (even though if you search through the old message threads you might run across some of the ways).
dbl221:
The password can be changed by overwriting the relevent section of the SAM file. Since it will be encryted ala one way hash your best bet is to try a birthday attack. You can read all about the birthday paradox in your fav statistics book. I suggest you write your brute forcer in C. Make sure to let us know how you make out.
Or you could just use your time in your computer lab to STUDY.
