Netscape?
« on: 29 July 2002, 00:32 »
Does anyone know how good Netscape is? I have Mozilla and I have been thinking about downloading the new version of Netscape just to try it out. I have heard some good things about it. It's supposed to be just like Mozilla with all the same features and security of Mozilla. Is this true?

Thanks,

BabyPooh

If you already have Mozilla, why would you want Netscape?  Mozilla is Netscape without all the advertising and registration crap (and it works better).
Someone please remove this account. Thanks...

Netscape?

Mozilla is very nice looking, and has a few features that Netscape doesn't.  I used Mozilla for a while with Netscape still installed, and Mozilla took about 5 seconds to start each time I ran it.  Also, hitting the "x" to close a Mozilla window closed all the Mozilla windows.  I've since read that Mozilla doesn't handle Netscape configuration files well... perhaps that was causing the slow startup time?  I've deleted it, to save disk space (running on a 1.5 G drive    ).  Currently using Galeon, I kinda like it   .
Anything I state, unless I say otherwise, is my opinion.  If I say I observed something then I observed it, if I say something is true than that's an opinion.
