I know that I often come down hard on Microsoft and Bill Gates in this newsletter. Perhaps it's because I have to use that company's products in my daily work. But I still believe you have to give credit where credit is due. Therefore I want to congratulate Bill and his employees on being the very first commercial software company to generate a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) alert that an operating system (Windows XP) is a threat to computer take- over by hackers. Apparently, users don't have to do anything more sophisticated that just being on the Internet for hackers to gain complete control of their systems.
