NewB looking for good OS to dual boot XP with

Hey, I am currently using XP and getting very pissed off of course.  I am looking for some suggestions as to a good alternate OS i can dual boot and learn about fairly easily.  I mostly use my computer for games, internet, and file sharing.  Thanks for your help...

I think I will try "Urinate on your Motherboard" option checked.
It should do fine to delete all hiden e-mails from MS.  :D
