Get rid of Windows XP!

How the hell do I get rid of Windows XP?  I can't stand this crap anymore.  I've been to many websites and tryed all the methods.  I tryed going to add remove programs and XP wasn' there.  I tryed running osuninst in the system32 folder and it said it cannot uninstall because the necessary registration information is not filled out.  I tryed making a ms dos startup disk to format the hard drive but it doesn't recognize most commands.  Please help me.  Thank You.

You need a boot disk for another OS then format from there. In otherwords get a linux CD and have the installer format the drive for you  :D

You can either download it or buy it an any computer software store.  Go to the link in my tagline and you will find all the top Linux distributions.

or you can usually buy it dirt cheap from several specialist mail order software vendors.
