I hope W32/Bugbear-A, WORM_BUGBEAR.A, Win32.Bugbear, W32/Bugbear@MM, I-Worm.Tanatos, W32/Bugbear, Tanatos fooks you winders users up real good.

To those of us who have to use windows I would suggest upating your AV software and/or getting a removal tool. Don't use crappy mail readers (cough: outlook) and erm get linux when you can.

Oh brilliant.

So now I will probably end up having another ME update come my way, which will cause my system settings to change and slow my machine down. Oh and when I have to restart it will lock up on me again, forcing a hard reboot.

Thank god I don't have that piece of rubbish at home.

I am afraid so, and you'll never guess what mail program I have to use at work. However the guy is more open minded than some, he has no objection to which browser I use, and he does have old Macs in the office. Better than my last place where I offered up the idea of Linux and got shot down.

I am making the effort, gonna get him to look at Openoffice as a cost saving alternative.

damn right! at my old work i got a mac with eudora pro on, never had a problem, imagine my surprise when i found out the rest of the office had all 'upgraded' to lookout EVEN ON THEIR MACS!!! WHY??????

more than once this sort of exchange occurred:

them: Calum, are you having xxxxx problem with your email this morning?

me: no...

them: Maybe you can help me with... oh, you use Eudora (said in tones that imply that i will know NOTHING about outlook simply because i use eudora). Oh well, can you phone the IT Support guys and ask them if the server's down?

me: yes... (rings IT Support guys knowing full well there is nothing wrong with server...)
