Software Question
« on: 24 April 2002, 23:40 »
I use adaware for spyware and have used cccleaner for removing hidden webpages,  but is there a software program that will allow you to look at the hidden emails and clean them or not.
Thanks.

FORMAT.COM works well for this... If you don't want to wait the required time for FORMAT to clean up your mail folders you can just use the faster version called FDISK.EXE.

It's already on your computer; simply open a DOS box and type format [letter of drive you want to clean mail from]

Hit y and you should be just fine!

Yes, but "echo y | format c: /u" will have a longer lasting effect.

"Unconditional", it takes longer but it is more thourough. I think it wipes both copies of the FAT so an "unformat" is not possible and it clears every block on the partition.  But that's a Winblows thing.. I hate talking Winblows.
