Mozilla finally released something that I really like. It's called "Phoenix" and it's a light way browser based off of Mozilla. It's the fastest graphical browser I used. I love it!

Download it!
It even supports tabs like Opera and Mozilla!

Ummm what's wrong with Mozilla? I find it kicks IE's ass! I actually like it more then Opera. Why would I want a lite version? Is it really a slow browser?

Seeing that I don't have a very fast machine, Mozilla was usebale, but a bit sluggish, so I dumped it for Opera. Phoenix is faster then both.

If you read their webpage it says that in the next few versions it will be smaller (and, in turn, faster).

THAT'S IT! IM GETTING RID OF PHOENIX!

Phoenix is a little better speedwise, but not enough to warrant the awesome power I get with Mozilla. With Mozilla I can surf porn sites and be extremely protected against forced cookies, re-directions, pop-ups, stubborn pop-ups, non-closing/self-moving windows etc. What else? All this while still being able to enjoy a high compatibility rate with many sites? Yes, that is so. Can your IE do this? Can your Phoenix do this? I love Mozilla.

Well, you can disable cookies / block cookies from sites.. As for the othre stuff, I'm sure someone will incorporate them into future versions. Remember, this is the first version!

I used to like Mozilla alot but recently I have found Opera to be better and faster overall. Opera 6.03 also seems to be very compatible with KDE.

Phoenix does go somewhat faster when going through the internal menus, but I still like Mozilla. So suppose I had some suggestions for Mozilla(besides make it faster), would they like actually listen to me or at least respond if I suggested shit?

i'm sure they would listen to you. In fact the probable reason for Phoenix was because people wanted a faster version of Mozilla. I suspect phoenix will grow to be quite fast. Right now it is just a tad faster than mozilla and less configurable.

But of course Mozilla is opensource so you can hack away at it to make it whatever you like.
