how to change default drive

i just got a new computer and the default drive on it is the d drive  how can i change it back to the c drive?

default drive? the drive letters are assigned automatically, if it's the default drive, then it's drive c:, the end.

Well, windoze simply assign the first disk it finds to c:, the next to d:, enz.

On your harrdisk (the psysical one) you should be able to find some jumpers that point to wether the harddisk is a 'master' or a 'slave'. If you have one disk, just expiriment with the jumpers,
and reboot. If windoze still thinks it's d:,
what's the problem ? Does it corrupt any of your programs ? it shouldn't.

I've had something similiar happen some while ago.
If the available space on the "c" drive ain't enough to accomodate the new install... NT and W2K
 will look for the next available drive to use as an install disk. This then mecomes the "default" drive.
Maybe this is the problem??
