Microsoft has an AdWare client?
« on: 23 October 2002, 20:31 »
Hello,

I have been using Windows 2K Pro for about a year and a half at home, and I've noticed something come up in the last few months that wasn't there before, ads from MS.

Every couple of weeks I get a new dialog box popping up urging me to check out a new MS product, so I decided to figure out where it comes from.

I'm not too sure what csrss.exe is, but that's the program. It's also protected by the OS so I can't terminate it with TaskInfo or any such program, so does anyone know how to disable the stupid pop-ups?

Thanks!
