Three words, XP Convert.

iTunes.

Music.

Store.

I don't see anywhere the ability to let WinAmp access it. Besides, Winamp is a shadow of its former self. It used to be good. Good enough that I used it. The current versions are so bad that I chose Media Player instead.

Oh, and what does WMP do that Winamp doesn't?

That's right... managed library. When you have as many songs as I, then guess what? It sucks ass trying to slough through them in folders.

So, please, no more tears over the fact that someone might want to use something you don't like.

edit: The conspiracy theories are getting absurd

I think Winamp 5 sucked. I still use Winamp 3 on the windoze half of my dual boot.

And I don't go for media libraries or anything. Just like multiple desktops, it's something I find completely useless.

Winamp 5 is the best. I use it on my parent's PC, and it rocks.

I have no conspiracy theories, all I know is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to remove WMP9 after you install it. Reason enough to never install it.

The only way to do it is to make a restore point before you install it. In fact, the WMP9 install made the restore point for me.

Pretty damning evidence against it being impossible to remove.

WMP I've got seems that old it doesn't know what an mp3 is. And the rest of win98 seems perfectly capable of deleting anything useful without it. Got Real1 player that spends its time trying to connect to the net instead of playing. Maybe it's bored.

Cheer up. Bill might be fined 10 minutes income...

At least RealOne Player is made for Windows and Linux.
