I found spyware on my computer

FIRST OF YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT SADLY I HAVE WINDOWS XP.  i was going through all the crap in my computer and found some file names that were odd....i did a computer search to see what they were and nothing came up....so i typed it in google and on like the 10th page it said something about it being spyware.....then i went to the microsoft help website to look in there so called free knowlage largest info thingy that will help you with anything server. i typed it in and it said it had nothing to do with microsoft and that it didn't exist....so i reallized that it is spyware becasue if i did some so called illegel stuff to remove microsoft from my computer my computer would automatically shut it down....and if i typed it in google it would close the google browser too.....but then i decided to call a help person and it said i would have to pay 249 dollors to talk on the phone........either im really paranoid or somewhat right.....what do you think?  :confused:

I think you should either get Ad Aware or get Linux and stop telling us that windows blows - we have established that much.
Preferably do the latter, try RedHat.

Nope, use Adaware, Spybot and XP antispy to remove spyware. Works great. But you know what works much better than Windows XP?

I have to agree, you didn't choose a good name. But since you yourself are American, it is a little more excusable, you actually live around those you diss...

I won't know the truth about America until I visit it one day. I definitly will check it out, but it has to stop this anti-terrorism bullshit. I'm too scared to travel to such a place(even though I'm white and lack a criminal record), maybe they will be more relaxed 10 years from now?

Definantly don't do any traveling into the US right now.  Airports are rediculously uptight on security and theres nothing to see here right now anyways.
