Hey, I've noticed the shit too. Windows XP starts out great, then goes sour.

Don't lie.  I've had XP on my machine for months now and it runs like it did when I first installed it.  SuSE Linux 8, on the other hand, one day decided to crash every time I ran the online update.  I ran the update from the Konsole and it gives me some unintelligable garbage about qt being unable to initialize the window.  No one in the chat rooms knows why this is happening, and SuSE has failed to respond to me as of this time.  Now I can't even update my system.

You want to know some other things that have mysteriously gone wrong under Linux since I've installed this version 2 months ago?  Konqueror recently stopped rendering AA fonts.  Konqueror crashes totally when I visit certain web pages (it's always done this) The permissions on the kicker icons suddenly changed to only allow root to run the programs; I had to manually go and change the permissions back.  2 mice are detected on my computer when there is only one.  KMail wouldn't check my email until I made a "header entry" under a config file.  Fonts suddenly started breaking up in GNOME help files whenever I scrolled up or down.  Lilo stopped working, rendering my computer useless until I fixed the problem.  Mozilla fucks up in some way every day.  A corrupt thumbnail caused the file manager to crash every time I ran it until I deleted it. Quickbrowsing through the KDE menu causes a massive memory leak that crashes X within seconds.  XCDRoast suddenly stopped loading, complaining about GTK not being able to "initialize X display buffer."  Before you go saying "SuSE is a bad distribution" let me say that as bad as it is it's still a vast improvement over RedHat 7.2, which is what I was previously using.  I could write 10 pages of problems that OS gave me.

Maybe you should switch to Red Hat or something. Suse doesn't seem to be working out for you.

what the hell is wrong with that thing (thing = XP luser)??? Try to find any other Linux user who has ahd nearly any of these problems. And KDE fixed the memory leak in the quickbrowser about two weeks after it came out. It still took me 15 minutes of using the quickbrowser with KDE 3.0 until it even slowed down and it wouldnt/didnt crash X. I have 96 MB of SD RAM.

i too get Linux problems nobody else in the world has. i just can'get Perl to work on Linux...seriously.

perl is located at /usr/bin/perl and the shebang line in the files is always #!/ur/bin/perl (or maybe it's !# i don't remember) but trying to load a perl page always brings up "Internal Server Error", that's why is switched to PHP  :D

Windows XP luser is probabally some M$ employee trying to brainwash us, so mabey i should ignore him but what the hell he does speak outa his ass dosn't he?

Whereas the rest of the world seems to be adopting linux and finding it is in fact so stable itz actually a bit hard to crash linux without getting pysical with your box.

My theory would be that he wrongly opted for the expert setup.

People like him do make me sick, and I'd like them all to know that you'r gonna be kicked off this planet. It's not just anti-m$, the whole population will finnally get wise to the monopolys and greedy twats like yourself.

What reason would he have to lie?  He has personal experience with Windows XP going sour.  Perhaps you have a different experience, but for christ fucking sakes, if someone says they are having a problem take then at their goddamn word.

It seems like you are overly defensive on the subject as well.

You would also not make a very good IT specialist either...

Some Guy: Uh...hello?
XP Loser: Yes?
Some Guy: Um...I'm having a problem with XP, it says something about...
XP Loser: YOU LIE!  Don't lie to me, XP is perfect in every way, and if there is something wrong, it's because you are computer iliterate and a dumbshit in general!
Some Guy: No...seriously, there is a box up on screen that says that Internet Explorer crashed...
XP Loser: Bullshit.  And if it did, it's probably becuase you were visiting some Linux website.  Don't you know that Linux is a computer virus that tries to elminate XP's market share?  How dare you try to introduce a virus into this network.  I'll take away your internet access for that buster.  Good day.

God I love doing that...

Windows XP LOSER! Go fuck yourself!
