to clear the registry, just go to the start menu, select run, and type "regedit" in the box.
This will start a program which looks similar to windows explorer, but which lists the contents of your registry.
It is a fairly easy to use tool, and it should allow you to delete anything you want from your registry.
Also go to
this site here to find many registry rubbish that could either help you or waste your time. the best download from here would probably be regclean.
just run this and it'll make a backup of the current state of yr registry in whatever directory you ran it from, so when you've sorted out yr registry to yr satisfaction, make sure and run regclean so you can rollback to that registry at any time...
good luck!
