I'm starting a sourceforge project - a game. And idea that's been running around and developing in my head for years. I got some sketches down, and I'm writing up the storyline. Started some stuff in Poser 4 too.

The game will be 3D. Probably FPS with 1st and 3rd person views. 5 main characters, all women. A really well coreographed opening sequence.

Current Status: Updated 4/8/03
w00tage! We're with sourceforge!

Sketches, writing up storyline, etc.
Storyline "Chapter 1" completed. Moving on to Chapter 2.

Down the road, I'm going to need some help coding, etc. If you would like to get involved, drop me a line akgames[no@spam]akgames.net

GPL

If someone uses code from your program they will certainly give you credit.  I can't see why they wouldn't.  At least the GPL is a copyleft license so nobody can make the code proprietary.

rtgwbmsr:
Does the GPL require a company to ask the original author (me) if they can use the code. I don't want M$ using my code, ya know.

slave:
No, nobody needs permission to use GPL code, but if they write a program that uses GPL code they must also GPL their program.  As for concerns about nobody giving you credit, I wouldn't worry.  Most free software developers are happy as can be to fill the credit list on their program with as many names as possible.  Actually I'm using the word "their" loosely here as that implies that GPL programs have owners, which they do not.  They have copyright holders, but no one person "owns" a GPL program.
