if you wan't to ban IE users from your site...

theoreticaly, could one block Mozilla, or Opera in the same way?

If so would identifying the Browser as MSIE6, as can be done in both Opera, and Mozilla, bypass the browser blocking?

because I can see newer versions of IE being somewhat different that IE6 in mayjor ways.

And I can fore see MS making some of its own sites
like say Longhornsupport.com (does'nt exist), and other sites that it would have a corperate influence over blocking all but the newer versions  of IE

and what the hell is MSN explorer, I saw it on an  XP machine at work.  You thought IE had holes!

What would really be the puprpose of blocking browsers from your page (besides some sorta ego booster) The puprose of the net is to share information, not form cliques.
