all that crap he spouts above...
i don't use hotmail. I have a hotmail account for the rare occasions that i use trillian though...
When i say 'text based inbox' you assume "Linux" (wrongly)
When i say 'web based email' you assume "Hotmail" (again wrongly)
Your assumptions betray you, how can you expect people to take you seriously? do you in fact expect that?
I have a web based account at
www.eboxmail.net which is not the best i suppose, but the inbox is six megabytes compared to hotmail's one (or is it 2 these days?) i haven't got one spam email yet, and they seem to have the most advanced blocking filtering thing that i have seen on web based email so far, so i'm happy, since it's free...
oh yes, and
quote:
The site eboxmail.net is running Apache/1.3.22 (Unix) (Red-Hat/Linux) mod_ssl/2.8.4 OpenSSL/0.9.6b DAV/1.0.2 PHP/4.0.6 mod_perl/1.24_01 on Linux.
to save you a trip to netcraft, but then you probably won't believe that anyway since
quote:
The site netcraft.com is running Apache/1.3.9 (Unix) mod_perl/1.20 on FreeBSD.
One more thing,
quote:
The site hotmail.com is running Microsoft-IIS/5.0 on Windows 2000.
Maybe that's the secret of why hotmail's so slow?
