Or you could just copy the Friday code from this site.

you could do that, but that would be useless because it was set to block browsers that identify as IE, not actually just IE, so you would have to modify it to get it to work properly with letting through, say, opera identifying as IE, but not letting through IE itself...........

just use that IE exploit thing. I think anyone in IE will get the picture after "format c:" comes up.

can someone using Opera and someone using IE please view this page http://www.angelfire.com/ri2/42 and tell me whether you get to the real page or not.

I used the javascript method and also encrypted the source so people cant see the "real"(homepage) URL to go to, which is www.angelfire.com/ri2/42/now.html in case you want to see it.

If you use opera, tell it to identify as
Mozilla, or opera. Because whats done is dont.
Try and point Opera (as IE) or IE to my site now

   - Have fun.

In future i will have it divert IE users to a porn link that will make me a few cents for ever IE user. And fill there screen with popups.
Arnt i a nasty barsted.

X11, it isn't working, i just visited yr site using opera (identifying as opera naturally) and with IExplode, and they came up with the same page (index2).
I am using MacOS 9, does it only work with windows versions of IExplode?
ALso, i love that idea of redirecting IE users to porn sites, and making money offit!
BUT
you should remember that Opera stupidly sets itself to identify as IE by default. A lot of people won't know that (or may forget to change it after they install) so they would unfairly be caught up in the scam. As i remember, months ago somebody posted a post which outlined how to tell the difference between IE and Opera identifying as IE, so yuou could conceivably make the distinction with yr redirect...

Sorry, boss, i just looked at it in Opera 5 on MacOS9 and it redirected fine but it still allows me to see the true URL.

I've tested it, but yes i think it only blocks windows versions. I will test it in VMware now
i have also added code to
"index2.html" that kicks IE

Becuase before if you typed x11.150m.com/index2.html it would work on any browser.

----------------------TESTING----------------

Nup it works, i tested it my site in IE now diverts when you use IE!

Gee, i am an asshole.

I havent got the email yet from my add provider.
But when i doo IE user will make me MONEY$$$$$

(Gee my own browser monopoly>
I feel a bit like bill gates now!

He he. Give me your money.
Maybe i will make users activate my products

i just typed in http://x11.150m.com/index2.html and got your site fine using Internet Exploiter 5 in MacOS9.
Like i say, it actually makes me unhappy to be able to view it in IE, as i want yr fantastic idea to work! i couldn't find that post about what the difference is between IE and Opera identifying as IE btw, so can anybody enlighten us on how to apply the appropriate filter?
X11 i referred this page to my sister who knows much more about javascript than me so maybe she'll have an idea...

Well then i hope you get me some good news.
I dont know javascript myself, but most i can
learn just about anything.

The good news is i now have FreeBSD working
but it didnt come with support for my Intel 810
video, so im using lynx right now. at the console.
If you can help me find video support that would
be very cool.

And thank-you for all the support people.

i ,can't help you as i haven't got that OS yet...
hey, didn't somebody else post either today or yesterday about that exact same chipset giving him grief with linux?
i advised that person to search with google, as i had a video problem with my SiS630 chipset. i did just that, search on google with the chipset and the OS name in the query and ten will get you twelve you'll see a bunch of people with the same problem and a few with some solutions.
Good luck, let us know how you got on!
and how did you get FreeBSD working btw? (i'm interested as i may get it next) (or is that in your FreeBSD topic??)

PS, i just tried to visit these forums using MacLynx B1 and i couldn't! a mate of mine has a phpBB board that worked fine, but this one wouldn't!
