Mozilla is for geeks someone said..

Uh, actually, it's because AOL and Microsoft had their little lawsuit settled. AOL got a Big Giant Barrel of Cash, and the rights to use IE in AOL, plus Super Secret Information to intergrate it better into AOL. So Netscape was no use for them.

bigsleep:
Both AOL and Microsoft have always been trying to influence Mozilla developers, with little sucess but for some things like (OMG) Marquee.
Not trying to get the last word in, but I think we are both (or all) right. AOL decisions are usually based on the better deal, not the better product.
I don't disagree with you, but AOL made a deal with MS long ago when they first started using IE (and getting the Desktop Icons), and I had heard from Netscape people, a couple years ago, that the contract was running out and they may be switching. Obviously they aren't.

To set another matter straight:

IE is possibly the least compliant of the browsers out there, it's shit, it implements it's own crap M$ standards such as JScript and .HTA and other useless weak, unstable crap like that.

IE is not better, fact!

They had another "deal" a small while ago.

Ah, I see, you are talking about the Netscape lawsuit, which is actually an AOL lawsuit since they own it - I didn't even think about that. Kinda ironic how AOL wins the benefit of putting Netscape out of business.
