no libglx1.4-4r6.so.2 to hunt down for a game to run.

linux really isn't ready for prime-time quite yet.

if you want to run linux, go ahead, I can help you out with any problems you might encounter

Ok you fucked up on that one. Never once during any of my linux game installs have I ever had to find any obscure OpenGL file that you made up out of the top of your head. Do not lie about linux, this frustrates me more than anything else, people who lie to make it look bad. Installing UT2003, Quake 3 arena, or any other game that has been ported to linux is super easy.

Unfortunately not many games have been ported to linux, so WineX a windows emulator has come to the recue. It is just as easy to install games using WineX, as it is on windows.

no shit I made it up, I was giving an example of module deps that have sent me hunting on google.

I use linux and windows, and I think (an opinion) that linux still needs some work.

you came in and flamed me for saying that.

hm_murdock:
that is, you run setup.exe and it belches multiple GB of mess onto your HD!

I MISS THE DAYS WHEN GOOD GAMES CAME ON SIX HD FLOPPIES!

WMD:
Amen, Jimmy.  :(

hm_murdock:
like classic Lucas games.

X Wing.

'nuff said.

X Wing and Dark Forces = 2 of the greatest games EVER MADE.

If you went up against Mohc in his death armor and lived, you were a badass to be reckoned with.
