As I posted before,
(Outlook) Outlook is not standards compliant and won't read email attachments sent by Pine.
This is becoming a serious problem for me because many Windows users typically respond in one or more of the following ways:
- Don't believe me,
- Don't want to patch their MS software,
- Don't want to hear that their MS software has a bug,
- Blame me for using a "non-standard" product (meaning, in their minds, something that doesn't work right with broken MS software).
I can't tell them to stop using Outlook and I can't not deal with them. I need a new email client that has the following properties
- Encrypted password support.
- IMAP based.
- Does not download all messages from the server, but downloads them one-at-a-time on demand and does not store a local copy (this is extremely important).
- Works in console mode (e.g. over an SSH connection with vt100 emulation).
- Has a naitive windows and Linux version.
In other words, I want something that works like Pine but will deal with broken MS software.
Any suggestions?
