Please show me where I can rectify this situation peoples. Totorials would be nice and stuff ya know.

The original tutorial sites I used were www.guistuff.com and www.photoshopcafe.com (the latter being much better). I'll try to dig up a few more URLs.

If you want artsy-fartsy shit check out the tutorials on www.deviantart.com  Some are good, some are crap but you get a lot of variety.
