Methedology.

-I open a read.txt file from Need for Speed II.
--UNDER WINDOWS98
-I copied the text and pasted it in MSWord 7 times and saved it as        Word Document
-I copied the text and pasted it in Open Office 7 times and
saved it in the format of      sxw.

--UNDER RED HAT 8.0
-I copied the EXACT text and pasted it in Open Office 7 times and  saved it in the format of      sxw.

Notice the difference in size. Its rather with no excuse large.
You can download all three files and see if I am correct or not.

Att for some reason wont let me log in to my account so I created a stupid ass Angelfire account.
YOU MIGHT NEED TO COPY AND PASTE THE ADDYS IN YOUR ADDRESS BAR.

Here is the screenshot

Now think the need of Hard Disk size of a company with hundreads of workstations and each workstation having possibly hundreads of text files

Of course most of you already knew this. It was just intresting to see it 1st hand.

Oh, c'mon bazoukas. Give Microsoft a break. You know it takes a lot of room to store all of that personal information they've collected on you so Windows Update can extrapolate it and send it on in to Redmond. And you know they probably have a hidden copy of winmine embedded in the document so when you load it with a SHFT+CTRL+RIGHTALT+F8+RIGHTCLICK+DOWNARROW you'll have a nice game of winmine to play.
Someone please remove this account. Thanks...
