Hi,
I've been reading a few of the discussion threads and one thing worries me. The idea behind UNIX, i.e. an open source, easily customised, powerful, easily upgradable OS, seems to have been forgotten. People seem more interested in "pretty" web-pages and "smooth" fonts. So what if you can't use <marquee> tags? The web is for sharing information and ideas not having flashing text and silly welcome sounds. If you don't like a browser crack open the source code and have a tinker with it, that's the whole point of open-source. It's not that difficult and it's suprisingly rewarding. I'm not looking for a slagging match here, I just want to make people have a think about why they use a UNIX OS in the first place...
