I happen to think video game fanboys are the most analistic, unreasonable, immature type of fanboy known to mankind... surpassing religious fanboys 2 fold.  As the xbox gains popularity among the children of the world ... video game freaks, we see people ask the question: Whats wrong with microsoft?  Why do so many people hate them?

This is the kind of thread i got myself into.  I explained all the crap microsoft has done, the OEM exclusives, the bundling of apps ... only to get told i was an anti-ms fanboy.  I gave them link after link of usefull information which was TOTALLY overlooked.

Then i was told that microsoft has just as many holes in it as linux, that linux has all sorts of terrible problems because someone saw a mail list of errors.  While i told them that those are errors with programs, not just the linux kernel, i was again told that i was an idiot to think linux didn't have as many as windows.

Next i got to hear 20 fannyboys tell me that im just jealous of microsoft, and thats why i hate them so much.  Of course i gave them all the reasons (once again, they didn't pay attention the first time).

Then i was told that i did have a choice with the software or internet explorers i want on my system .. that i could download them free or go buy them in the store.  I asked them why i should pay for the other if i dont want it, and to that i was told that it was free, that microsoft bundled it in as a loving, wonderful company.

They asked what i thought they should do with windows to make it fair, and i explained that i thought making a stripped down version would be fine .. and they could keep the full version right along side it for those that dont care to install it all themselves.  I was told that microsoft needs to bundle apps so that their os is more attractive.. and while i told them that their os was attractive NOT for the apps it bundled, but because there is no real viable choice.  Most apps and software projects are developed to run on windows.

After arguing for close to 2 hours, i gave up.  The funny thing is, if this debate would have happened 6 months ago, i dont think anyone would care to join in.  Microsoft was smart to grab this young audience... churning fanboys out NOT only for their system, but for their garbage os, and all their other 'wonderful' products.  I didn't think i would EVER hear someone protect their wonderful and favorite company like they did.  I fought off nausea and anger trembles.

Get ready, the new wave of MS support is about to grow, and we can thank that big piece of fucking shit with a huge X on it.

Ah, don't worry 'bout it. Real Video game enthusiests don't really like the XBox. The XBox has latched on the user base of gamers who like to smoke pot listen to really loud base and watch pretty colors and gore on their screen as they chuckle Bevis and Butthead like. It won't last, no one want's the thing anyway.

But ya, I see your point. I think M$ has allways been aiming at younger audiences. Because if you can convince them that the M$ way is the only way when their young, theyll be stickin to it for the rest of their life. Kinda like Cigarettes  :D

And look at this fucking shit.

http://www.teamxbox.com/news.php?id=2769

"Are you a big spender who likes fancy toys? Then get out your check book because you can enter a bid to get your hands on your own Xbox autographed by Bill Gates. For those of you who dont have the loot it will take to get this puppy, you can at least wish you did. I just thought I'd pass it along in the chance that someone out there might be interested."

That has to be the most disgusting thing i have ever seen in my entire life.  What the fucking hell is WRONG with these kids?  If i ever got that hunk of shit, i'd find everyway to rip anything that says 'microsoft' on it.  I couldn't imagine the thought of billygates's signature on it.

Anybody else want to assassinate the bastard?  I wonder how many people are getting sick of his "I am Jesus, kiss my feet" act.  This can only be topped by the japanese gamer that bought the first xbox and said "I wanted to meet bill gates, he is so rich!".

"100% of the proceeds from this auction will be donated to The Boys and Girls Club of America. It is truly The Positive Place For Kids."

Aww how nice! Bill gates is soooo magnanimus. Coulden't dig in to his own check book, instead decides to sell a machine that looks like it's going for a couple of thousand. Man, Im sure the Boys and Girls Club will be able to realy be able to use a couple of extra thousand dollars. Maybe they can build M$ computer centers at all of their facilities! Oh Joy!

hmmmm....

Looking at the Picture of the XBox with the signiature, dosn't it reamind of the George Forman Grill. Maybe it's its evil Cyborg twin brother   :D

LOLOLOLOLOL! I wonder, does the extra-special, autographed version of the X-Crox scratch up DVDs? Does it crash at the drop of an electron? Is it just like the ones we mere mortals have to use, or is this one special?

Hey, we should bid on it and when we "win" it, get photos wizzing on it, then paste them on the back of our PS2s like the graphics people put on the back windows of their Chevy/Ford picups.  Better yet, just copy the image off the site and impose the Chevy/Ford wizzers on it. But then we wouldn't be helping out the Boys and Girls club.
Someone please remove this account. Thanks...

Shiggy: people are stupid. I just let people get on with their lives nowadays; I can rarely be bothered to argue with idiots who hold set-in-stone opinions.

My favorite Dilbert strip had dogbert set out to find everyone in the world who held an extreme opinion on something they didn't understand and hit them over the head with a paper cone.

Thank god I found this forum where people are intelligent, wise and don't like MS because of GOOD reasons.

There is no point in arguing with peoples who love Microsoft and Bill Gates. Those peoples who like Microsoft are to blind to see the truth. There will be no hope for them.

If peoples want to use products from M$, then let them use it. Let them spend all the money they want. It will be their doom. And the result will be that they never will learn real computing (programming, how to realy fix a pc, ect).

Gates as Hitler? I tell people that all the time, they call me a sick fuck, but then again they're easily led and weak minded. Exonomic cleansing is a danger to free-trade. I say boycott the monster.
