How much does Microsoft make

<< < (7/11) > >>

TB:
So you're saying that the $1 billion+ loss they've already made isn't enough? Well you have a point there. They deserve to lose more...and the current forecasts are for more losses so I'm happy.

Not trying to be rude here but please explain to me how sony is an evil company.
They arnt a monopoly
1. There are plenty of other record companies
2 there are plenty of other electronic device companies
3 They make very good competition with GCN, X- Botch and all the other console doods

I dont see the deal?!?!

Microsoft: Now THERES a monopoly.

Calum:
sony are not a deliberate monopoly. that's the only real difference. Sony have a foothold and they produce a good quality proprietary product to utilise every new generation of technology. This means they have a majority of market share in many areas. They are not a true monopoly yet though as you say. They do have the monopoly on the entire CD and DVD formats though, also they own the patent for VHS don't they? so they have a monopoly on consumer video recording/playing formats for a start, and if not for Edison's records and Phillips' audio cassettes (i used to think Sony had the patent for them too! ) then Sony would have a monopoly on consumer audio reproduction formats also. As it happens cassettes and records are nearly obsolete now, since the CD came out in 1982. Sony's formats have killed a lot of others over the years too.

Kintaro:
sony kick ass -nuff said!

Doogee:
good for them, they may own the patent but there no the only ones who make VHS, VHS is dead anyway.

so u think the world would be better if ew were all still using tapes, which are crackly and bad quility, instead of CDs, which, uve got to be honest are a shitload better than a tape anyday.

Sony have bought GOOD products to the market and they are always innovating, so LONG LIVE SONY, especially the game department!
