Ok I am highly interested in this X-box debate. I am amazed that X-box is dead, I NEVER saw any signs coming, then again im not a console gamer.

Until I found this site I was under the impression that the X-box was fucking awesome, even though i'd never tried one.  ;)

WTF happened is all I gotta say. I guess Microsoft has so much marketing clout, they can blind everything.  :(

Totally true. Did you know the Super Nintendo has these measly specs:

CPU type: 65c816 (16-bit)
CPU speed: 2.68 and 3.58 Mhz (change able)
RAM memory: 1 Mbit (128 Kbyte)
Picture Proc. Unit: 16-bit
Video RAM: 0.5 Mbit (64 Kbyte)
Max resolution: 512 x 448 pixels
Colors Available: 32 768 colors
Max colors at once: 256 colors
Max sprite size: 64 x 64 pixels
Max sprites: 128 sprites
Min/Max Cart Size: 2 Mbit - 48 Mbit
Sound chip: 8-bit Sony SPC700
Sound channels: 8

Gee that's a pretty slow CPU. If a SNES game was ported to DOS, you'd probably need a 486/33 to run it good. To emulate it good you need a pentium 166. Kinda funny ain't it? Now that's what I call squeezing out power! Although the price was bullshit in the later years. I mean when you have pentium 200's around, this 286-ish technology shoulden't of even been remotely close to the amount it was worth in the later "high tech" years. But that's how consoles work.  :(

Developers have dropped the Xbox. At first, M$ had support, but now they have nothing. Because they are, in fact, nothing. The Xbox does not have superior games. Most of it's exclusives are clear rip offs of games from other consoles. Like Halo, for example, it is a rip-off of Perfect Dark 64 without Simulants.

Yes but isn't it the developers fault? They didn't come up with some rad ideas to put on the system right?

Oh and Halo is a Perfect Dark 64 rip-off?! Ok I've never played either, but I've seen screenshots and read some about both. PD is a futuristic spy thriller IIRC. Halo is about being a badass alien wastin' Marine. You go through huge enviroments(especially outdoor, looks beautiful!), drive around in tricked out pimpmobiles(metaphorically), and the action is fast and furious... or so I gathered from what I've ummmm "absorbed". How the fuck could that be a Perfect Dark rip-off?

Ok I seriously am not an X-box fanboy. I've just always been impressed with such a seemingly awesome system.

lights and tinsel do not a party make.

the sooner the xbox sinks the better, for marketing and propaganda reasons.

I was at the video store today. Let's check the console section. Tons of PS2 and PS games. There's a shelf of Gamecube games. Ok X-box has it's own shelf(same size as the other shelfs, although the PS1 has 2 shelfs)... you guys are right on the fucking money. Not only are the boxes not "semi-stacked" like the PS2/PS1 boxes(a little low on room), there's actually a reasonable amount of space between each title. IT GETS WORSE! There's also SEVERAL copies of each game! Can you believe it, so low on X-box titles they have to have more then 2 copies of the same game(no more then 10 to 15 X-box titles at the max, not including duplicates)! BTW this was at Roger's Video.

Oh and im not a console gamer. Strangely, I love console games(don't own a modern console or even a PS1 though), I love the show "Electric Playground(a mostly console show with some PC coverage)" and if someone offered me a free video gaming magazine I would definitly read it.
